Sorority recruitment varies significantly from one university to another. Cultivate Your Bid publishes detailed, school-specific guides that cover the chapters, timelines, and Panhellenic culture at each campus we coach. New guides are added throughout the year. Each guide is written for PNMs and the families helping them prepare, and includes the specifics you cannot get from a generic article: what each round actually looks like at that school, what dress norms apply, and how the local recruitment culture differs from peers.

Why school-specific guides matter.

Generic recruitment advice gets you partway. The rest is specific. Chapter mix is different at every Panhellenic university. Recruitment week timelines vary even within a single conference. Dress norms shift from campus to campus, and what passes for polished at one SEC school is different from what passes at another.

Recommendation letters are the clearest example. At some schools they are essential and quietly organized in the senior year of high school. At others they are nice-to-have. Knowing which side your campus falls on is the difference between meeting expectations and missing them entirely.

Each guide in the library walks through the specifics for one school: round-by-round timeline, chapter overview written without ranking language, recommendation letter norms, dress expectations, and the local recruitment culture you cannot read from a brochure.

Frequently asked questions

Why does sorority recruitment vary by school?

Recruitment looks different at every Panhellenic campus. Each university has its own chapter mix, recruitment timeline, dress code expectations, and recommendation letter norms. Some campuses run formal week-long recruitment with four rounds. Others use continuous open bidding, where joining happens on a slower, more flexible timeline. Even within formal recruitment, what conversations look like at one school is different from the next. School-specific preparation is the difference between walking in with general information and walking in actually ready.

What if my school is not on the list yet?

We are publishing new guides throughout 2026. If your school is not in the library yet, sign up for notifications and we will let you know as soon as the guide for your campus goes live. In the meantime, our coaches still take families on at any Panhellenic university through one-on-one coaching, and the strategy work translates across campuses even when a school-specific guide is not yet published.

Do you have coaches who attended my school?

Where possible, yes. Each guide is written or reviewed by a coach with direct experience at that campus, either as a PNM herself or as a chapter advisor on the other side of the tea table. When a coach with school-specific experience is not available, we draw on the broader Cultivate Your Bid coaching team and current Panhellenic information from the school directly.

How often do you publish new guides?

Roughly one per month during the spring and summer leading into fall recruitment, with refreshes to existing guides as schools update their recruitment timelines and chapter rosters. The library is built to grow.
